CHICAGO FUJIAN ASSOCIATION MINUTES FOR 2017 SPRING BANQUET MEETING
1. TIME & PLACE
The meeting was held on March 19, 2017, 1:00 p.m at Seafood Harbor Restaurant located at 2131 S. Archer Ave, Chicago IL 60616
2. ATTENDANCE

Special guest: TONY WANG
- Tony is a guest of Karen Zhou origin from Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province.
3. DISCUSSION ABOUT SPRING BANQUET:
(a) 4/15 Spring Banquet table confirmation.

- Tony will attend the banquet as Karen’s guest.

- Tony agreed to work with Karen to contact Chicago Fujian Chamber of Commerce if
they would purchase one table.

- Catherine Wang has been appointed as the Emcee of the night

- Dr. Tee will bring PA system in case the restaurant is not able to provide.

- Dr. Tee to try obtaining Association’s song karaoke version in Youtube.
4. LOGO
Catherine Wang reported that the association is now officially named Chicago Fujian Association. She proposed a logo to be designed so all the current and past president can use to print official business card. The board approved a logo to be designed either internal or outsource.
5. CORRESPONDENCE FROM FUJIAN
- Dr. Tee brought a Chinese New Year card to share with the members. The CNY card is
mailed to the association yearly from Quan Zhou, Fujian, China.
- ShaSha Chen proposed all correspondence to be kept with association office.
6. OTHER DISCUSSION
- Dr. Tee proposed to contact the Past President, Paul Chen, who is now the President of North American Fujian Association (北美洲福建同乡会) to reconnect with Chicago Fujian Association to work as a siblings association in order to promote the association’s missions. Yin Kean will help to contact Paul Chen and relay the message.
